Before, after, and during the birth, doulas educate families and help them find the information they need to make confident choices for their family and their birth. Doulas remain with their clients throughout the entire labor, birth, and immediate postpartum time. Perhaps most importantly, doulas are there to provide steadfast, non-judgmental emotional support and reassurance.

Presently, Juliana is practicing and studying to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) through apprenticeship with Salisbury Natural Family Health Midwifery. Candace is practicing and studying to become a certified doula and has a strong educational and professional foundation in working with and supporting women as a graduate of Smith College and a staff member at the Women’s Center at the University of Vermont. Additionally, we are both graduate students in the College of Education & Social Services at the University of Vermont.
